Meet the Birth Ur Way! Team

Nyfisa C. Rabb is a native of Philadelphia. She is an alum of Temple University where she obtained her degree in Early Childhood Education. Her work as a birth worker was sparked as she assisted family and friends without support through their pregnancy and birthing experiences. This passion catapulted her into the position as the founder of Birth Ur Way! Doula and Birth Services.  She has been a birth worker for over 20 years. 

Nyfisa's love and passion for birth work allows her to be what she needed during her birthing experiences to others, giving selflessly of herself to help those in need. She loves the work she does and enjoys supporting her families, bringing to life the plan that they have for their births. Her motto is your body, your birth, your plan. 

Understanding the disparities in the medical field, Nyfisa works to give knowledge to her families, so they are empowered to advocate for themselves and make informed educated evidence-based decisions for their birth. Her goal is to always work as a team with her family's providers while keeping her clients' needs the priority of service. 

Nyfisa is passionate about supporting pregnant and birthing people through a trauma-informed and judgement free lens.  She uses this passion as a doula to create an atmosphere where the birthing person feels in control and respected, not only during labor and delivery, but throughout their entire pregnancy. To Nyfisa, being a doula means holding space for anything and everything that is needed for her families. 

When she is not attending births and supporting families, Nyfisa can be found spending time with her family, journaling, advocating for those in need, and creating new recipes in the kitchen.
